Tomorrow, Sadie will be a week old. I tell you the week flew by. Between changing diapers, feeding and just hanging out we have really been busy.
I have to say, it's not as crazy as everyone has been telling us. We've managed to do our laundry, eat a decent meal every night and get some sleep.
Maybe when Peter goes back to work, it'll get a little harder, but Sadie seems to be pretty mellow and real easy to be around (not to mention super cute too.)
The weather has been real nice so we took a walk the other day, did a little shopping yesterday and today we're going to introduce Sadie to our friends behind the counter at Peet's Coffee.
They'll be surprised when we show up with a little girl, just about everyone told us we were having a boy.
We went to the doctor yesterday and all the nurses were going crazy over the fact that Sadie doesn't really look like a newborn and her eyes are open and looking at things. She seemed to enjoy all the cooing and fussing over her.
Peter's become quite the doting father, chef, house cleaner and photographer. I'm not used to just relaxing and having someone else do things for me. It's been a nice little treat.
